From a time when I was just starting to become interested in business, the internet, web design, and the idea that I could mix them all together I was faced with the position of being a Dreamer. There are many of us out there and it seems like almost everyone I meet has that great idea that will change the world. If there are so many of us out there why is more not getting done? The answer is that you are not doing it right.
For every great idea there must be 3 things. A Dreamer, a Facilitator, and hope. You really need to talk yourself into the idea that you need more failure in your life. Failure should become a daily pursuit. Yes, I do know you think this is outrageous, but it is the honest truth. On a daily basis I must remind myself that I need to be willing to fail. When you create as I do, everything you do before the finished product is a step of failure. Another example of this is that of the writer sitting in front of the blank page. To put something on it is to make it real, and what it it’s awful? You have to be willing to take that chance. If you believe it is worth the investment of your time.
The job of the Facilitator is to figure out how to take a dream and take the steps towards moving it into reality. This is a job that I had to learn to undertake a long time ago. You have to be a realist, weighing out all of the options and factors to see if it is worth moving forward.
*If you are a Dreamer trying to start a new project you must have the skills to in part be able to facilitate the growth of the project. Whether this be financial or that of skills that can make it happen. You must keep it moving forward and often the ball will be in your court to make it happen.
